About the Event
Event Details
Founded by David Blair McClosky, the goal of the McClosky Technique is functional efficiency. It utilises a client-focussed, holistic approach to assist clients with achieving their identified vocal goals.
The McClosky Technique focusses on coordinating the different parts of the vocal mechanism so that each part of the body is doing its proper job. Whether in speech or song, the end result is the same: vocal efficiency with little or no effort wasted.
Certified McClosky Voice Technicians (CMVTs) teach a series of exercises to release counter-productive tensions, a postural stance that promotes efficient, easy breathing, and an easy onset of tone (flow phonation).
As Australia's first and only CMVT, Patricia's vocal services include vocal tuition and coaching; singing; acting; professional voice use; public speaking; troubled voices; tired voices; projection and resonance; and accent coaching. This is of particular use in today's post-pandemic world, with many experiencing zoom-fatigue, vocal loss and projection issues across a diverse range of industries and sectors.
In this one-day professional development workshop, Australia's only Certified McClosky Voice Technician (CMVT) Patricia Alessi will introduce participants to the McClosky Technique. Individual optimal speaking ranges will also be identified.
This is the perfect introduction for those of you whom are looking to address healthy vocal use and using your voice to the best of its ability.
