About the Event

Event Details

Join us for one of our most nostalgic Recycled Instrument Project Workshop initiatives yet - Moving Music!

Some people have been asking to donate old or disused sheet music for a long time now... but whatever could we do with it?!

Well, get ready to try your hand at folding your best paper airplane or pinwheel ever!

We all have spent our childhoods making paper planes or spinning pinwheels round and round and round and round...

And now it's time to introduce today's high-tech lovers to the magic of low-fi papercrafts.

Join us as we cut and fold forgotten sheet music into airplanes and pinwheels full of whimsy and joy. And we'll even bring our paint pens so you can decorate them, too!

A great nostalgic intergenerational workshop for ages 4-94, these low-fi wonders will keep you reminiscing for yonks!

Location

Please note that these workshops are located at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts at 12 Kent Street East, Victoria Park, WA 6101.

Sponsors

Thank you to the Town of Victoria Park for sponsoring these workshops!

Fine Print

Please note that this is an intergenerational arts workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event.

In accordance with hygiene requirements, hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use throughout the workshop, too, in order to help ensure the safety of staff, artists and guests.

If required, COVID restrictions and/or adjustments may be made, in accordance with current health requirements.

Art Workshop Protocols

This is an arts workshop. Glue, scissors and paint pens will be utilised at this event.

As such, we encourage participants to wear old clothes or to bring a smock.

As this is a workshop that requires the use of scissors, parents are asked to use their discretion and to accompany and/or assist their child as necessary.

To ensure your safety, the bending and pinning back of the map pin to secure the pinwheels will be completed by the arts facilitators.

See you there!
